Camp in Welib-Há

The border road 307, which runs parallel to the border with Guatemala, leads to the rainforest’s first gift: the Welib-Há Waterfall. It exists thanks to the Río Chancala, which twists and turns between trumpet trees and black cherry trees, seeking out the great river of Usumacinta. At a certain point, the water falls, and it does so from a height of 26 foot. During the rainy season its white curtain expands to an impressive width, but you can swim throughout the year in its greenish blue waters. Around the waterfall are palm-roof shelters, pathways, and a camping area.
