In the Portal del Comercio building lined with arches, there are businesses selling items made of silver and traditional candy. They say that this building hosted Maximilian and Charlotte during their visit to Real del Monte in 1865. If you continue on down Hidalgo street, you will come across a number of handicraft shops. The Mercado Municipal is also a good option if you want to pick up a few regional products.
