Take a Walk Through the Parque Central
Filled with life, movement, color, history, culture and art, Comitán de Domínguez is one Chiapas’ most attractive towns. Its Parque Central (Central Park), where wooden doors, marimbas and old buildings with colorful walls and tiled rooftops abound, is clearly designed for leisurely strolls. The Town Hall, the Teatro Junchavín and the Centro Cultural Rosario Castellanos are all located right in front of the park, make sure to have a look.
And of course, you can also jump onto the touristic tram in the park, which travels all around Comitán’s center. Make sure not to miss its museums. And remember to go and listen to the marimba music that takes over the town’s squares at night!
