Quinta Gameros Cultural Center

It is a spectacular mansion that shines among its more humdrum urban neighbors. The academic and historian Francisco de la Maza y de la Cuadra considered the building a work of art. He declared, “It is the best art nouveau-style house built in Mexico and possibly the Americas.” 

Dating from the beginning of the 20th century, Colombian architect Julio Corredor Latorre built the property for engineer Manuel Gameros. Inside, it is furnished with art nouveau furniture from the Requena Furniture Collection.
