Camp in the Bosques de Oyamel in San Nicolás Totolapan

Mountains and hillsides scattered with streams conceal a natural space that has many sport and camping activities to offer, and even an entire eco-tourism project that has developed in the heart of Magdalena Contreras.

Immense forested areas inhabited by oyamel (sacred fir), coast live oaks, pine and white cedar trees can be seen everywhere you look. Streams and springs appear on hillsides and among gullies.

Since 1998 this natural area has been a gift to Mexico City, for those who love camping, fishing, practicing extreme sports, exploring with their families and riding on horseback, cycling and even birdwatching.

The always-green landscape all around is a constant no matter where you go. Its zip line installations are ideal for appreciating the panorama from high above.

On your walk through the park, you must find your way to the lake if what you are looking to do is fish, then you can cook your catch on one of their barbecues.

For professional cyclists, there are mountain biking trails designed with different levels of difficulty. There are also routes for long hikes.

The rock faces are perfect for practicing rock climbing.
