Go Hiking in the Valle de las Monjas
Eternally green, springs running between trails hidden by enormous trees, this is the predominant landscape in this valley.
These mountainsides are covered in oyamel and pine trees that conceal trails and springs. This is a place where you can walk along the riverbanks, explore it on bike, or just find a place to sit and admire your surroundings while you listen to the sound of flowing water.
Few people imagine that so many green spaces could exist so close to the Santa Fe financial district. Many people come to enjoy them with their pets, others come to experience quality family time.
Whoever decides to walk along these trails will discover springs, the traces of the old Carmelite convent, dense tree coverage, and a significant population of ferns and mushrooms.
If the hike takes you as far as Desierto de los Leones, then make the most of it and visit the traditional medicine hall, the mushroom production center, and the trout farm, where you can choose the fish you want to eat and ask them to prepare it just how you like it.
