Experience History Through Chocolate Flavors

Cata chocolates en el centro

When visiting the city of San Luis Potosí, you can’t miss the chance to taste the history of Mexico through chocolate. The chocolate tastings and history pairings created by Norma Orozco, one of Mexico’s most renowned chocolatiers, create this unique experience. As the music and stories begin, Norma indicates when it is time to taste a selection of artisanal chocolates accompanied by wine or other iconic drinks such as tequila or mescal.

The experience lasts an hour and topics are varied. They touch on subjects such as the life of Frida; flavors of the Potosí region; men of the Revolution; Villa Cordelia vineyard; La Frontera chocolate factory; chocolate, wine, and trolleys in San Luis Potosí; the lovers of Louis XV; and more.

The chocolate selection is curated according to the historical times discussed—so of course there is a chocolate filled with the region’s enchiladas during the experience featuring the flavors of the Potosí region.
