In the 3D Museum of Wonders, visitors become part of artworks that seem to emerge from their canvases. If you’re looking for things to do in Playa del Carmen with children or as a family, this is an excellent choice.
During the tour, you’ll see 60 artworks created by Kurt Wenner, transporting you to worlds you never imagined: cliffs, mazes, fantastic scenarios where you interact with animals, or get trapped in a bubble blown by a man in medieval dress.
Kurt Wenner was a scientific illustrator for NASA. He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and was introduced to 3D art at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. He received the Kennedy Center Medallion for his contribution to scientific education.
Unlike any art gallery in the world, at the 3D Museum of Wonders, touching everything and taking non-stop photos with the artwork is allowed. Rest assured; you’ll get some of the most fun photos of your trip to Playa del Carmen from this experience.
The museum is spacious, with ample room to explore and have fun. So, large groups and families have plenty of space to roam freely and engage with the exhibition at their own pace. The 3D Museum of Wonders was built with visitors in mind. Adults, couples, families of all sizes, and tour groups consider this one of the most memorable activities they did during their time in Playa del Carmen.
