Emotions Native Park in Playa del Carmen is just the spot for an adventure. Fly, explore, learn, swim, and enjoy—there are trails running through the rainforest, caves, and crystal-clear cenote pools waiting to be explored. What can you expect from your visit to Emotions Native Park?

Feel the thrill of driving all-terrain vehicles through the rainforest! In addition, in Emotions Native Park you can enjoy pleasant hikes to connect with nature. All this, plus venturing into the jungle to whiz along zip lines, as well as exploring caves, discovering authentic Mayan ruins, and learning about how the region’s first inhabitants lived. Also, the most adventurous can swim in a beautiful, crystal-clear cenote pool.
The experience lasts about three and a half hours in the park. We describe a typical itinerary, but you can tailor it to your needs. Just contact a tour operator:

  • Enjoy the ease of being picked up at your hotel. This service depends on your location and the time you will visit the park.
  • You are provided with all the equipment needed to have a blast safely, as well as all safety information so you can enjoy the adventure.
  • You will start with a ride on an ATV. Explore the jungle trails for an hour, taking in the beautiful scenery of the park. Feel a jolt of adrenaline on the incredible hanging bridge.
  • Experience a Maya ceremony. Surrounded by the stunning natural scenery, participate in an authentic ceremony led by a Maya shaman from the community and permeated with the aroma of copal incense.
  • Fly along the zip lines. Whiz above the rainforest on three zip lines, feeling the thrilling rush of wind and spectacular views.
  • If you want to, you can take a dip in the naturally occurring cenote pool.
  • Enjoy a lunch of regional dishes to refuel.
  • Wrap up the day by heading back to your hotel to rest.

General Tips:

  • Wear lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes (no sandals).
  • Don’t forget your swimsuit and a change of clothes.
  • Take cash or a credit card for souvenirs, insurance for the 4x4s, and photos.
  • Don’t use insect repellant and/or sunscreens or lotions that could harm the ecosystem.
