Old San Juan de Dios Hospital
- Website Go to website
Founded by the order of Juanino monks in the late 16th century, the town’s first hospital was in operation until not long ago. Today, you can visit the cloister to check out the Pinacoteca. This gallery holds the works of colonial-era artists Luis Berrueco and Pablo de Talavera. St. John of God is their primary motif. On the way out, be sure to check out the church next door, named Templo de San Rafael Arcángel.
Useful Information
You can spot some wonderful Pueblan tiles from the mid-18th century at the hospital entrance and in some of the rooms inside.
