Caja del Agua
Caja de Agua

This neoclassical-style water tank is set in Jardín Colón park. Inaugurated in 1835, it is built with pink limestone and is one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks. The water it received from Cañada del Lobo gorge supplied the city.

Useful Information

Nearby is the Spanish clock. It was donated to the city by the people of Spain during the first years of the 20th century. Glass at the foot of the pedestal lets you peek at its workings.
